We exist to glorify God and share the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ by loving people, preaching God’s Word, seeing souls saved, and lives changed. Sayre Baptist Church is separated from worldly practices, independent from denominationalism, fundamental in faith and practice, Bible-believing with the King James Bible as our final authority, non-Charismatic, soul-winning, missionary-hearted, Baptist in doctrine and distinctives, and committed to the local, autonomous New Testament church. We believe the Bible is the inerrant and infallible Word of God, plenarily and verbally inspired and providentially preserved for us in the King James Bible, which we accept as our final authority in all matters of faith and practice. We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe the Lord Jesus Christ was virgin born, lived a sinless life, died a substitutionary death for our sins, was bodily raised from the dead, ascended into Heaven, and will return personally, visibly, premillennially, and pre-tribulationally. We believe man was created by the direct act of God but fell into sin through disobedience, that sin is universal, and that mankind is totally depraved and unable to save itself. We believe salvation is by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His shed blood and is received through repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe the ordinances of the local church are water baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper. We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost, with the saved enjoying a literal Heaven forever and the lost suffering eternally in a literal Hell. We believe in biblical separation, both personally and ecclesiastically, and as an Independent Baptist church we do not fellowship with or participate in the Charismatic movement, Calvinism, or ecumenical evangelism. We believe the local Baptist church is Christ’s ordained institution for this age, commissioned to preach the Word of God, make disciples, and take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the whole world.
